Abortion is an apparition to end a pregnancy through the expulsion of the foetus from the womb .In the UK it is illegal to have an abortion after twenty four weeks apart from life threatening circumstances. Abortion is a very complex moral issue with huge diversity of opinion, even in the Christian church. What biblical teachings might be used in a discussion about abortion? Different churches have different opinions on abortion, for example, The Roman Catholic Church says abortion is wrong and a sin In all cases. The Protestant Church says that abortion may be acceptable in some cases. Within the Christian church there is a diversity of belief and opinion on the subject. Statistics on an issue such as gun control are not hard to come by. The numbers seem to sway in the favor of gun control being ineffective against the epidemic of gun violence that is facing this nation today. There is evidence to support that many guns used for illegal activities are obtained by illegal means anyway, making laws to restrict the purchase of said guns ineffective at keeping firearms out of criminals hands. Evidence also supports the statements that guns are used in defense more often than not, that the age old statistic that “13” children die each day by guns is inaccurate, and that there are numbers that show the direct relationship between the loosening of gun laws and the lowering of the crime rate. The construction last year of a shopping mall in downtown Oak City was a mistake. Since the mall has opened, a number of local businesses have closed, and the downtown area suffers from an acute parking shortage and arrests for crime and vagrancy have increased in nearby Oak City Park. Elm City should pay attention to the example of the Oak City Mall and deny the application to build a shopping mall in Elm City. Analyzing this argument brings up a lot of questions to whether this is a relevant argument or not. A lot of assumptions are made on not enough facts to support them. It can be said that the mall could have directly or indirectly been a part of the problems. The problems are: Increase in crime and vagrancy, businesses closing, and a parking shortage. It is not logical to say that it is sole cause of the situation. This argument states that the building of the mall is the I dont want to continue hurting myself like this. By allowing myself to be swayed by your actions and your every whim, i am becoming the unbecoming of me. What exactly is media? Media is communication. Media is different ways of communicating with the public. We see media everywhere we go, on the streets, on TV and even at school. An example of media and one I will be focussing on in this essay is advertising, adverts such as the ones we see on posters and billboards. These adverts affect our everyday life because it influences us in our decisions. For example if a product is being sold, depending on the way the product is advertised can relate to whether or not a consumer decides to purchase the product. Advertisements are usually a persuasive piece that tries to get people to buy a product. I am going to compare two advertisements. They are two advertising posters, which I have obtained from the Internet and both of them are related to retailing drinks. Both of the adverts are similar but at the same time different.
